What's changed

Every change to My Recycle Route, newest first. Written for the people it affects rather than the people who built it.

  1. One number for each collection day

Runs, Today and the dashboard now lead with each building’s day as its Collections tab counts it, the report opens on the month service began, stickers print darker, and stickers can be ordered by address.

    • ChangedAdmin

Runs and Today lead with the building’s totals

Doors, bags picked up, weighed, still to weigh and pounds for each building, the same five numbers as its Collections tab, sit above the driver cards. The driver cards are now labelled as each driver’s share, so two drivers splitting a route no longer read as two different totals for the same day.

    • ChangedAdmin

The dashboard shows the last collection on days nobody is out

Instead of "nothing recorded yet today", the first card shows the most recent pickup building by building, and each building opens straight to its Collections tab.

    • FixedProperty managers

The diversion report starts when service did

It used to open on the last twelve months, so a building collected since September showed ten months of zeros. It now opens on the building’s first collection, has a month picker, and the by-collection-day table shows bags picked up and a total row. The PDF and CSV follow the same months.

    • FixedAdmin

Sticker text prints dark on thermal printers

The line under the code ("Scan me, or visit myrecycleroute.com") was gray, which a thermal printer turns into faint dots. It is now black and bold on every sticker size.

    • AddedResidents

Order stickers by address, no account needed

myrecycleroute.com/order-stickers: type your address and we send a new sheet free with an upcoming collection. "Lost your sheet?" on the bag order page does the same instead of asking you to email us. When a sheet is already on its way, both pages say which collection day it should arrive.

    • ChangedResidents

Scanning a sticker is optional, and the sticker page says so

Put a sticker on each bag and your driver scans it at the door. Scanning one with your phone is only for signing up to see what your door diverts.

  2. Drivers can ask for help from any screen

Every driver screen now has an Ask button in the top bar, the same one the Resource Hub has, answering from the driver guides.

    • AddedDrivers

Ask button on every driver screen

Tap Ask in the top bar to ask how to do something on the route: a bag with no sticker, a sticker that won't scan, leaving bags at a door, a drop-off. Answers come from the driver guides and link straight to the screen you need.

    • FixedAdmin

Two drivers on one building no longer look behind

When two drivers split a building, each run card used to show its doors out of the whole building (91 / 632 and 27 / 632), which read as one driver falling behind. A shared run now shows that driver's own count and who they shared with, and the building's combined progress sits at the top of Runs.

  3. Mark bags delivered from the office

Bags dropped off between collections can now be recorded from the building's Stickers & bags tab, so the door's count goes up straight away.

    • AddedAdmin

Bags delivered button on Stickers & bags

Tick the doors, set how many bags each got, and press Bags delivered. Doors with bags on the way also have a one-tap "delivered" link. Their bag count goes up now and they drop off the needs-bags list, without waiting for a pickup at that door.

  4. Participation rate, and every past run a click away

A building's Overview now leads with how many households have set out bags, with a breakdown of who keeps coming back and who's new. Runs now lists every past run. Anyone can order bags by typing their address, drivers can record bags left between collections, and the office gets a Friday list of who needs bags and stickers.

    • AddedResidents

Order bags with just your address

myrecycleroute.com/order-bags needs no account. Type your address to see how many bags you have left and when your next free ones arrive, buy 10 sooner if you can't wait, or ask for a new sheet of stickers when you're running low.

    • AddedDrivers

Record bags you leave at a door

Every door's stop screen has a Record bags left button for drop-offs with no pickup. Pick how many bags you left and whether a sticker sheet went too. The door's count goes up, anything the office had booked for it is marked delivered, and the household is told.

    • AddedAdmin

A Friday list of bags and stickers

Every Friday morning an email lists each address getting bags or stickers on the next collection, sticker sheets still to print, and doors running low with nothing sent yet. Change the day, time and who gets it under Settings > Staff emails.

    • FixedAdmin

Still to weigh no longer counts bags the hub already weighed

When the hub put a new sticker on a bag and weighed it as No address on it, the bag's door record still counted as waiting, so the Collections tab could show 114 weighed and 37 still to weigh from 115 bags. Those bags now count once.

    • AddedAdmin

      Participation rate, with a breakdown

The Overview shows the share of doors that have set out at least one recycling bag, counted by door so it includes households that never signed up. View breakdown shows how consistently doors set out, each week split into returning and new households, and lists the new, every-week and stopped doors. People registered moved into the Registered doors card.

    • AddedAdmin

Previous runs on the Runs tab

Under the day view, every run from the last 30 or 90 days is listed by day with its driver, buildings, stops, bags and hours. Click a run to open it, or a date to see that whole day.

    • ChangedAdmin

      Operations opens on Runs

Runs is now the first tab under Operations, with Today beside it.

    • ChangedAdmin

A run opens on its headline numbers

Each run now leads with its participation rate, how many addresses gave bags, bags collected (with and without a sticker) and doors visited. The stop list shows only doors that were collected, one line each, with a QR tag where the driver scanned the sticker at the door. Doors closed out with nothing set out are counted but no longer listed.

    • ChangedResidents

Your bags page always says when your next bags arrive

Whether you have plenty, are running low, or have bags on the way, the page names the date and whether they are free. If your next delivery is free and you tap to buy, it tells you so first, and you can still buy if you need them sooner.

    • FixedResidents

A sticker sheet from the office no longer stops you buying bags

If the office had sent your door stickers, the page said bags were already coming when they were not, and would not let you order any.

    • ChangedAdmin

Free monthly bags go to every address that runs low

Doors nobody has signed up for now get their free ten on the month's last collection day too, the same as a registered household. They show on the driver's list as Leave 10 bags. Only registered households get a message about it.

    • ChangedAdmin

      Destinations fit on one screen

Each facility is one line, grouped by kind, showing what it takes, whether it weighs and whether it gets a text. Click a line to edit it. Search and kind filters sit at the top, adding a facility opens in a window, and archived facilities can be restored.

    • AddedAdmin

      An end-of-day collection email

Settings > Staff emails can send a summary on the evening of every collection day: each building's doors, homes picked up and bags collected, what the hub weighed, and every address getting bags or a sticker sheet on its next collection. Pick the hour and add as many addresses as you like, and send yourself a test first.

    • ChangedAdmin

Choose who hears about paid orders

The email for every bag order a resident pays for now goes to the addresses listed under Settings > Staff emails. Left empty, it goes to every admin, as before.

  5. See which households set out week after week

A building's Collections tab now shows how many weeks each door set out, so you can tell the regulars from the one-time doors.

    • AddedAdmin

Weeks set out, by door, on Collections

Every door that set out in the window is listed with how many of the collected weeks it set out, its bags and the last time it did. Only weeks the building was actually collected count, so a door is never marked down for a week the truck did not come.

  6. Organics and trash on the outbound record

Compost Clubhouse organics now get the same record as sorted recycling: where the load went, the facility's weight, and a photo of the weight ticket. Trash and hub residue have a place to go too.

    • AddedDrivers

Take organics straight from the route to the composter

A compost driver picks the facility on Outbound, drives there, then enters the facility's weight and snaps the weight ticket. No hub step in between, because the organics never stop at one.

    • AddedAdmin

Organics is a material a facility can take

Set it on a facility under Destinations. Only facilities that take organics and weigh what we bring are offered for a route trip, since their weight is the only one there is.

    • AddedAdmin

SWACO is the destination for trash and residue

The landfill takes the hub's residue. More disposal facilities can be added later under Destinations.

    • AddedResource Hub

An outbound sign that signs you straight in to Outbound

Scanning the outbound QR is the same hub code and your name, but you start on the Outbound screen instead of picking a station. Print it from the hub's card under Hubs & zones.

    • AddedResource Hub

Sign back in as yourself with your name and a PIN

The first time you scan a hub or route code you pick a 4-digit PIN. After that, "Been here before" with your name and PIN puts you back on your own account instead of starting a new one each shift. Drivers who sign in with a route code get the same.

    • ChangedAdmin

Replacing or turning off a walk-in code asks you to type it first

It signs everyone out and wipes their PINs, so New code and Turn off now open a window that spells that out and won't go ahead until you type the current code back.

    • AddedResource Hub

Close out each truck on Receiving

Each driver's load gets a card: how many bags they picked up, how many were scanned in, and which ones aren't here yet. Confirm it when the truck is unloaded, with a note if something is missing. Sorting and weighing never wait on it.

    • AddedAdmin

See which trucks the hub closed out

Reports › Chain of custody lists every truck the hub confirmed, who confirmed it, and the bag numbers that were missing at the time.

  7. Following material out of the hub

The record used to stop at the hub scale. Now it follows sorted material out the door: the hub packs it into containers, a driver picks the facility and takes it there, and the trip is recorded as recovered with its weight, from the facility if they weigh it and from the hub if they do not. Everyone moving material is now either inbound or outbound.

    • AddedResource Hub

An Outbound station for packing material to leave

Pick Outbound from the station menu to record each container as it is packed: what is in it, what kind of container it is, and its weight. Weigh it unless it is going somewhere that weighs it for us. Trash and unsorted recycling can be recorded too. A container packed by mistake can be removed until a driver loads it.

    • AddedDrivers

Take containers from the hub to a facility

The Outbound screen lists what the hub has packed. Tick what you are taking, pick a facility (only ones that take all of it are shown), and load. At the facility, enter their weight if they weigh it, add a photo of the receipt if they give one, and mark it recovered. The home screen shows it whenever something is waiting or on your truck.

    • AddedDrivers

Say whether you are working inbound or outbound

Your Account screen lets you choose between collecting from doors and taking material out of the hub. Outbound puts the hub first on your home screen. Every screen stays open either way.

    • AddedAdmin

      An Outbound report under Reports

Every trip out of the hub, with the facility, the driver, each material and its weight, whether the hub or the facility weighed it, and the receipt when there was one. Also what is packed and waiting, and anything loaded onto a truck but not recovered yet. This is the record to show SWACO.

    • AddedAdmin

Facilities record their address, materials and minimums

Destinations now hold an address, the materials each facility takes, a minimum volume and notes. Drivers are only offered facilities that take everything on the load. The first seven recycling facilities are loaded: B&B Plastics, Phoenix Recycling, AMG Environmental Solutions, Ace Iron & Metal, Green Earth Recycling, Mid America Paper Recycling and Rumpke.

    • AddedResource Hub

      Glass is a material

Glass can be recorded at the hub and packed to go out on its own, instead of only as mixed recycling.

    • AddedResource Hub

Weigh a container after it is packed

A container packed without a weight now says so and has an Add weight button, and a wrong weight can be changed, any time before a driver loads it. It used to have to be removed and packed again before a driver could take it to a facility that does not weigh.

    • AddedAdmin

Close a trip the driver could not finish

Trips on a truck now have a Close this trip link on the Outbound report, with the same form the driver uses. A trip left on a truck also stays on the report however old it gets.

    • FixedDrivers

Clearer messages when a load cannot go anywhere

When no facility is offered, the screen now says whether a material has nowhere to go yet, the load needs splitting, or your area has no facilities. Putting a trip back at the hub asks first, the Recovered button says which weights are still missing, and weights written like 1,200 are accepted.

    • ChangedAdmin

Drivers and hub workers are labelled inbound or outbound

The Users list now says Inbound operator, Outbound operator, Inbound hub worker or Outbound hub worker under each person, based on what they are doing.

    • AddedAdmin

An alert whenever a bag purchase goes wrong

A declined card, a checkout that would not open, or a payment our server failed to handle now sends an email to the person watching payments, with the door, the resident and a link to the payment. They also get a copy of every paid-order notice.

    • AddedProperty managers

Download the diversion report as a PDF

The report now has a Download PDF button next to Download CSV. The PDF has the same totals, tables and notes as the page, laid out to print or forward.

    • AddedAdmin

The diversion report emailed on the 1st of every month

Under Reports, Monthly email, pick the buildings and the addresses. On the 1st each address gets last month’s numbers for every building ticked, with a link to each building’s PDF that opens without a login. A test send shows you the email first.

  8. Bags, not stickers, are what we keep you stocked with

Running low used to be measured in stickers, which said nothing about whether you had anything to put out. It is measured in bags now: you get 10 a month, free, delivered on the last collection day of the month once you are actually running low, with a fresh sheet of stickers alongside. Need them sooner than that, you can order a batch for $2. Nothing is automatic for anyone who has stopped setting bags out.

    • ChangedResidents

Your next 10 bags arrive automatically when you run low

Once you are down to your last few bags, the next 10 are booked for you and arrive on the last collection day of the month, with a new sheet of stickers. You do not have to ask. If you have stopped setting bags out you will not get more, because nothing runs down.

    • ChangedResidents

The running-low message counts bags and names the date

It used to count stickers, so someone who had run out of bags but kept their stickers was told they were fine. It now says how many bags you have left, the day your free 10 arrive, and what a batch costs if you cannot wait.

    • ChangedResidents

Ordering buys bags, and the price is on the page

Buying used to get you a sheet of stickers. It gets you 10 bags and a sheet, delivered on your next ordinary collection rather than waiting for month end. Your bags page shows what you have left, when the free ones are due, and the price before you tap.

    • ChangedResidents

The welcome email explains how bags work

New residents are told about the 10 a month, that a refill comes when they run low, that the stickers go on the bags, and how to order more sooner.

    • AddedResidents

You are told when your bags reach the door

A text, or an email if we have no number for you, on the day the driver leaves them.

    • FixedAdmin

Contamination alerts show the address, and no longer hide most doors

The dashboard card only counted bags from doors somebody had registered on, which at a new building is a small fraction of them, so weeks with real contamination in them read as clean. It now lists flagged doors by address, registered or not, and matches the Contamination report it links to.

    • ChangedAdmin

Printing stickers takes you back to where you started

A print run started from a building’s Stickers & bags tab now has a way back to it and lists exactly which doors are in the run, instead of ending on a page with no route home.

    • FixedAdmin

An expired invite can be revived instead of abandoned

Lapsed invites showed no buttons at all, so the only way forward was to notice that and start again. They can now be extended by a week or cancelled. Inviting an address that already has an account is refused with an explanation rather than creating a link that fails when it is opened, and people accepting an invite now get a readable message instead of an error code.

    • ChangedAdmin

The dashboard lists unfinished orders instead of a reset that no longer happens

The “low and not paid, until the reset” list described the old free-sticker-sheet month, which has been replaced by the automatic bag refill. It now shows the case that still needs a person: someone who started an order and did not finish paying.

    • AddedDrivers

Start a route with a code and your name

Each service area has a walk-in code, with a sign you can print. Scan it, type your first and last name, and you are on the day’s route. No email address, no invite, no password — the same way hub shifts already worked.

    • AddedCustomer service

The door card shows bags left and the next free refill

Callers ring about bags far more often than stickers. The card now leads with how many bags a door has left and the date its free 10 are due, alongside the sticker count.

  9. Ordering stickers again after leaving checkout

A resident who opened checkout for a sheet of stickers and left without paying was stuck: the app treated the unpaid order as already on its way and wouldn’t take another for a day. Now they can pick up where they left off straight away, and each step of an order is recorded so a problem can be traced.

    • FixedResidents

Leaving checkout no longer blocks your next order

If you start buying a sheet and don’t finish, the Stickers page now says nothing was charged and offers a Finish paying button, instead of refusing a new order until the next day.

    • FixedResidents

Clearer message when an order can’t start

An order that fails now says in plain words that nothing was charged and to try again, rather than showing an error code.

    • AddedPlatform

Every step of a sticker order is recorded

Opening the page, tapping order, going to checkout, coming back, and the payment itself are each logged in the background, so when a resident says an order didn’t work we can see exactly where it stopped.

  10. Each building gets tabs: collections by week, and what it was sent

A building’s page now has tabs. Collections shows what was picked up there week by week, this week and last week first, with the date on every line. Notifications shows its texts and emails grouped by day: what went out, how many people got it, and the message itself. The regular messages can be reworded from right there, and the new wording goes out from the next send.

    • ChangedAdmin

Properties & sites opens as a menu in the sidebar

Clicking Properties & sites now opens Residential and lists Commercial sites, Hubs & zones and Destinations right under it in the sidebar, in place of the row of tabs at the top of the page.

    • FixedResidents

Buying a sheet of stickers goes through

Until today the Buy button only ran as a test: no card was charged and no sheet was sent. It now takes the payment and sends the sheet. If you tried to buy one before today, you can order again.

    • AddedResidents

A receipt by email when you buy stickers

Stripe, who handles the payment, emails you a receipt with the amount, the card used and a receipt number.

    • AddedResidents

A thank-you text when your order goes through

If we have your mobile number, you also get a text saying your receipt is in your email and your stickers will be dropped off at your door.

    • AddedAdmin

An email to the office whenever someone buys stickers

The office gets an email when a resident pays for a sheet: who, which door, the sheet number, and links to the print queue and the payment. If the payment went through but no sheet could be made, the subject says so, so the resident can be refunded or sent one.

    • ChangedAdmin

The dashboard opens on today’s collection

Today’s collection is now the first thing on the dashboard, above the open queues.

    • AddedAdmin

A closed run shows what came off the building

Once every door on a building has been recorded, Operations shows the result at the top: how many bags were picked up, from how many homes, and how many homes had nothing out.

    • AddedAdmin

Stickers and bags on the dashboard

A new card shows how many people are down to 4 stickers or fewer and how many doors are down to 4 bags or fewer. Tap the sticker count to see who they are, name and address, and print them a sheet on the spot. It also lists who has paid for a sheet, with a button to print them, and who is low but has already had this month’s free sheet and hasn’t paid, so you know who is waiting on the 1st.

    • AddedAdmin

The order thank-you text can be reworded

It shows in the message log as “Sticker order paid”, with the same Edit button as the other messages.

    • AddedAdmin

A building’s collections, week by week

The new Collections tab lists every week with its dates, newest first, and every collection day in it: doors picked up, bags, how many were weighed or are still waiting, contaminated bags and pounds. This week and last week sit at the top. A scheduled day with nothing recorded says so instead of quietly being missing.

    • ChangedAdmin

      A building’s page has tabs

Overview, Collections, Stickers & bags, Notifications and Report now sit under the building’s name, instead of buttons that each opened a separate screen.

    • ChangedAdmin

A building’s messages are on its own Notifications tab

They could only be read under Settings, one row per person. Each building now has its own tab of what it was sent, along with who has heard nothing from us.

    • ChangedAdmin

Messages are grouped by day, not listed one by one

A collection reminder to a whole building used to be a row for every resident. Each day now lists what went out once, with how many people got it. Open it to read the message and see everyone it reached and whether it went through.

    • AddedAdmin

Edit a message from the send you just read

Collection reminders, running-low-on-stickers alerts, stickers delivered, the weighed-bag thank-you and the contamination messages each have an Edit button, with a preview of exactly what a resident will get. Messages already sent keep the words they went out with.

    • AddedAdmin

Emails can be reworded too, from the welcome email on

The welcome email, the answer to a join request, invites, the order link support sends and the repeat-contamination email to staff now have the same Edit button, with the whole email shown beside the fields the way it will land in an inbox. The layout, buttons and footer stay as designed; the words are yours. Wording is shared by every building.

    • FixedResidents

The welcome email looks the way it was designed

A mistake in how its font was written made most of the welcome email lose its colours, sizes and layout, so it arrived as mostly plain text. It now shows as intended.

    • FixedResidents

No thank-you text for bags the hub found contaminated at the batch scale

Bags weighed together in one pile got “thanks for keeping it out of the landfill” even when the hub marked the pile contaminated. That text now only goes out for a clean pile, and it follows the same on/off switch and wording as the weighed-bag thank-you.

    • AddedAdmin

See who needs stickers, who needs bags, and who needs both

A building’s new Stickers & bags tab lists every door that is down to the running-low number, and the Overview shows the counts. Stickers and bags are counted separately, because a bag set out without a sticker still uses up a bag. Search finds any door, for the resident who calls to say they lost their stickers.

    • AddedAdmin

Print stickers or send bags to the doors you pick

Tick the doors, then either print them a new sheet of stickers or mark them for a pack of bags. Printing goes straight to the print page for just those sheets. A sheet the office sends never uses up the resident’s free sheet for the month.

    • AddedDrivers

Your list says which doors to leave bags or stickers at

A door the office sent bags or a sticker sheet to says so on your list and on its stop screen. Recording that stop marks them delivered.

  11. Look a caller up by the address they give you

Support can now find a household from the address the caller reads out, however they say it, instead of needing the name of their building first, and see that door’s stickers, bags, next collection and messages beside the chat. Answers lead with the line to read out, and every question asked is saved for review. The chat also fits the height of your screen, sticker refills residents order now land in a print queue instead of getting lost, support can email a caller the link to order more, and residents are told when their new stickers reach the door. On the recycling side, the hub can weigh a bag nobody can place, and the office can see what the hub weighed each day and how much each collection diverted.

    • FixedCustomer service

A caller’s own address finds their building

At Waggoner Park every front door has its own street address, and the building is called something else entirely. Asking about “342 Slippery Elm Dr” came back as no site we serve, so you had to already know the caller lives in Waggoner Park before you could look anything up. The address the caller reads out now finds the building and the door together. Give it a street with no house number and it shows you the doors on that street to pick from.

    • FixedCustomer service

Say the address the way the caller says it

A door only answered to the exact words on its label, so “342 Slippery Elm Drive” or the address with the city still attached came back as no such unit about a house that plainly exists. Spelling, capitals, punctuation, a missing “Dr” and a trailing city and ZIP are all read the same way now, and the answer names the door the way it is on file so you can read it back. Where two doors genuinely fit, such as 500 Maple Ct and 500 Maple Dr, it asks you which rather than picking one.

    • FixedCustomer service

The chat fills the height of your screen

The assistant was a fixed size, which put the box you type in below the bottom of the window on a laptop and left empty space on a large monitor. It now takes whatever height the screen has, with the question box always at the bottom. The guides are still underneath, one scroll down.

    • AddedCustomer service

Email a caller the link to order more stickers

With their door open, each signed-up resident who has an email address on file has an Email the order link button. It sends the link while they are still on the phone and tells them whether this month’s free sheet is still theirs or the next one is a purchase, which is the same answer the order page will give them. It is hidden while a sheet is already on its way, and it only ever goes to the address on their own account.

    • AddedCustomer service

Find the caller and see their door before you ask anything

Beside the chat there is now a Find the caller panel. Type the address the caller gives you, or their name, phone number or email if they signed up, and their door comes up: how many of their stickers are left, every bag we collected with the date it was collected and weighed, their next collection day and date, whether this month’s free sheet is still theirs and where any refill is, and the texts and emails we sent them. With a door open, the chat already knows who you mean, so “how many bags do they have left?” needs no address. New call clears it between callers.

    • ChangedCustomer service

The line to read out comes first

Answers used to explain the situation first and put the words to say to the caller underneath. Now “Say it like this” is always the first line, so you can start talking while you read the reason under it.

    • ChangedCustomer service

Answers to the calls that actually come in

Reviewed with Tia against the first weeks of calls: what goes in the bag starts with the basics before the rinsing rule, cardboard goes in flat and dry and is never rinsed, bags and stickers arrive separately at the front door, there is no limit on how many bags go out at once, more bags are bought with their stickers rather than stickers alone, a missing sticker is no reason to hold a bag back, and a sticker that won’t scan can be typed in instead.

    • AddedAdmin

See every question support asked, and the answer it got

Every question typed into the support chat is now saved with its answer and the address it was about. Reports → Support questions shows the most-asked questions first and every question underneath, over the last 7, 30 or 90 days, with a spreadsheet download, so a wrong answer can be spotted and reworded.

    • AddedAdmin

Sticker refills have their own print queue

When a resident orders more stickers, their sheet now shows up under Bags → Refills, grouped by building with the next pickup day, and the dashboard tells you when there is something to print. One button prints that building’s refills with each door’s address on the stickers, ready to hand to the driver. The same screen lists residents running low who haven’t ordered yet, so you can plan stock.

    • FixedResidents

A refill is only marked delivered once it has been printed

A pickup at your door used to mark an ordered refill as delivered even if it had never been printed, which would have taken it off the office’s list before it reached you. It now stays on the list until it has actually been printed and taken out on the truck.

    • AddedResidents

We tell you when your new stickers are at your door

When a sheet of stickers you asked for is dropped off, you now get a text, or an email if we have no phone number for you, naming the door it was left at. Until now the only way to know it had come was to go and look.

    • AddedResource Hub

A bag with no address still counts toward its building

Some bags reach the hub with no sticker, no backup sticker and nothing written on them, and until now the scale would only take a bag once you told it which door it came from. Pick “No address on it” instead and its pounds count toward the building’s total, without crediting any door or resident. At the batch scale you can add bags with no sticker and no address as a count, and a sticker scanned there with no door can be added the same way or set aside for the Queue screen if someone knows the door.

    • AddedAdmin

See what the Resource Hub weighed, on any day

Operations and Runs only showed driver stops, so a day spent at the scale looked like nothing had happened. Operations now has an “At the hub” card for today: bags weighed, pounds, who weighed them, and how many got their address at the hub. It links to a page listing every bag weighed on any day, and Runs links there when the hub weighed bags that day.

    • AddedAdmin

Where the stickers without an address went

The Sticker sheets page now shows the stickers with no address on them: how many are still unused, how many a driver or the hub used, which address each one ended up at, and whether it has been weighed.

    • ChangedAdmin

Zone performance is broken down by collection week

The zone table showed one total for the month, so there was no telling one collection from the next. Each zone now has a line per week, and a bag counts in the week it was picked up rather than the day the hub weighed it, so Monday’s collection is no longer split across Wednesday and Friday.

    • AddedAdmin

      Building diversion reports

Reports used to show only the compost numbers. A new Building diversion tab lists every residential building’s pounds with one line per collection day, including bags still waiting to be weighed, and each building’s full report has the same by-collection-day table.

    • FixedAdmin

The assistant knows what a dynamic QR code is

Asking the assistant where to see dynamic QR codes being used got an answer about the stickers printed for each door. It now knows that dynamic QR codes, field stickers and stickers without an address are the same thing, and where to see them being used, what the hub weighed each day, and how much each collection diverted.

    • FixedAdmin

Bags placed at the hub no longer show as unresolved in chain of custody

A bag that came off the truck without being scanned at a door, and then got its address at the hub, stayed on the chain of custody list as a gap nobody had closed. Once the hub has placed it, it now shows as resolved.

  12. The Resource Hub is three jobs, and the app now knows which one you’re doing

Bags are scanned in as they come off the truck, everyone picks the job they’re on, and every bag keeps a record of who handled it at each step. Where the driver’s count and the hub’s count disagree is now a report.

    • FixedDrivers

Run two routes in two places on one login

A driver could only ever be put in one service area, so whoever was given the Compost Clubhouse round lost Waggoner Park the moment it was assigned, and the other way round. Being put in a second area now adds to the first instead of replacing it: one day’s screen shows the doors and the compost sites together, and the address finder, the drop-off list and the sites you can choose all follow you across both.

    • ChangedDrivers

The compost route says what is due today

The card on your home screen counted every site in your area, which on a Thursday was a number you could do nothing with. It now leads with how many are due today and keeps the full count underneath. The list behind it still shows every site, because a site you are standing at is collectable whatever the schedule says.

    • ChangedAdmin

Assign a person to more than one service area

The Zone column on People is a row of buttons now rather than a single-choice dropdown — tap each area this person works and they hold all of them. Areas say where somebody works and service lines say what they run; both still have to be set, and a person with no service line is called out in the row. Leaving the areas empty still means every area, as it always did.

    • AddedResource Hub

Pick the job you’re doing when you start

A Station picker sits at the top of every hub screen: Receiving, Batch scale, or Sort table. It opens the app on that station’s screen and labels everything you record with the job you were doing. It is a label and never a lock — you can still do any step from any station, so covering for someone who has stepped away never leaves you stuck.

    • AddedResource Hub

Scan bags in as they come off the truck

A new Receive screen. Scan every bag as it is unloaded and the running total for the day goes up. It never takes you off the screen, so you can keep going with a scanner in one hand. A bag no driver recorded collecting is taken anyway and flagged rather than refused, because a bag on the floor is a real bag holding real pounds.

    • AddedResource Hub

Today lists each batch you weighed, not just the bags

Every scale reading now shows as its own line with the time, how many bags were on it, what it came to, the share each bag was credited with, and who was running the scale. Several batches in one morning have always been kept apart in the records; now you can see them.

    • AddedResource Hub

Every bag shows who handled it at each step

Open a recorded bag and its history is there: collected at the door, received at the hub, weighed, graded, each with the person, the job they were on, and the time. It fills in from now on, so bags collected before today show nothing.

    • AddedResource Hub

Ask is on every hub screen

A hub assistant, one tap from the top bar. It answers from the hub guide only and is written for someone holding a bag: receiving, the queue, the scale, grading, attaching a door. Ask it something that belongs to another role and it says so rather than guessing.

    • AddedAdmin

Reports → Chain of custody compares the two counts

Every bag a driver scanned at a door should be a bag the hub scans in off the truck. This is the difference: collected but never arrived, arrived but never collected, arrived but never weighed, and weighed without being counted in. Each row names the person to ask. Bags recorded at the door with no sticker are counted separately, since nothing was ever printed for them to scan.

  13. Bags the driver didn’t scan can be weighed

A bag whose sticker the driver didn’t scan at the door no longer stops at the Resource Hub scale as never collected. The hub confirms it came from the door on its sticker and weighs it.

    • FixedResource Hub

A sticker the driver didn’t scan no longer says the bag was never collected

When a driver picked the address from the list instead of scanning, the bag reached the hub with a sticker the app still thought was unused, and scanning it said it was never collected at a door, with no way to weigh it. Scanning it now records it as collected from the door on its sticker. At the batch scale it goes straight on; on the Queue screen it opens so you can confirm and weigh. If the driver recorded that door’s bags as having no sticker, this bag replaces one of them, so it is only counted once.

  14. Join requests find their own door

At a building that approves requests automatically, a resident is connected the moment the address they type names a single empty door, and the office can sort, filter and export a building's doors. Drivers get a truck count that holds across days and a route that no longer jumps to tomorrow in the evening, and new customer service reps get a one-page quick start. At the Resource Hub a contaminated bag now records what was in it and a photo, and residents hear about it after a few bags rather than the first, and a sticker with no address can be given its door before it goes on the scale. Anyone working a shift at the hub can sign in with the hub's code and their name.

    • AddedAdmin

Approve join requests automatically, building by building

A switch on each building's page. When it is on and the address someone types matches exactly one door nobody has signed up at, they are connected and emailed right away. A door that already has a resident, or an address that matches no door or more than one, still waits in Join requests, and automatic approvals are listed under Recently decided.

    • AddedResidents

Some requests to join are approved on the spot

At a building that approves requests automatically, typing your house number and street connects your account right away instead of waiting for the office to reply.

    • ChangedAdmin

Join requests suggest the right door

Each request picks the door that matches what the resident typed, or says that none does, and a filter box narrows the list, where approving meant scrolling through every address in the building.

    • FixedAdmin

Dropdowns in the admin console show their options

On Windows, opening a dropdown on the dark admin screens showed a blank white list, which is why the unit picker on Join requests looked empty. Every dropdown now opens dark with its options readable.

    • AddedAdmin

Sort, filter and export a building's doors

The door list on a building's page can be narrowed to one street, sorted by walking order, house number, registered first or resident name, shown 25, 50 or 100 at a time, and downloaded as a spreadsheet of exactly what you are looking at.

    • FixedDrivers

On your truck counts each door once, whichever day it was collected

A load still on the truck from an earlier day went back to counting every save. The card, now called "On your truck", counts each door once per day however long the load has been on board.

    • FixedDrivers

The route no longer jumps to tomorrow in the evening

After 8pm the route screen switched to the next day's stops, because the day was read on the server's clock instead of Columbus time. The same slip hit the compost site list and the "Not today" tags in the door search. The day now turns over at midnight in Columbus.

    • ChangedDrivers

The scale ticket only appears where the facility weighs the truck

At a facility that does not hand out tickets, like the Resource Hub, the drop-off screen no longer asks for one, and a net weight of 0 is no longer saved as a ticket.

    • AddedAdmin

A one-page guide to join requests and a building's doors

Turning on automatic approval and exactly what it will and won't approve, working the queue it leaves behind, and searching, sorting and exporting a building's door list, on one printable page. The admin, driver, program manager and sign-up guides now describe the same changes.

    • AddedCustomer service

      Customer service quick start

Signing in, how to name a building and a door so the lookup finds them, what each part of an answer is for, and which calls go to an admin, on one page that prints on a single sheet.

    • FixedCustomer service

The customer service guide says which messages are sending

It still said no texts or emails were leaving. Emails are sending now; texts are not reaching phones yet, so a caller who never got one is very likely right.

    • ChangedAdmin

Stickers without an address print on 4x2 labels

They now print one to a 4x2 label, from the sticker sheet list as well as the stickers without an address page, on the same labels the stickers with an address use. The default was a 4x6 sheet of ten, which doesn't fit the 4x2 labels in the printer. The 4x6 sheet is still an option on both print pages.

    • FixedAdmin

Stickers without an address print ten to a 4x6 label

A sheet of ten printed as eight stickers on one label and two on the next, and the sticker number and web address ran past the edge of each sticker. All ten now fit on one label, with every line sized to its sticker.

    • ChangedResource Hub

Say what was in a contaminated bag

Marking a bag contaminated opens a list to tap as you sort: food, liquid, plastic bag or film, styrofoam, trash, clothing, hazardous material, electronics, non-accepted plastic, or other. There is no minor, major or severe level to pick any more.

    • ChangedResource Hub

A contaminated bag needs a photo

Take it before the contents go in the red tote, so the picture shows that bag and nobody else’s. A bag opened later that already has a photo is not asked for another.

    • AddedResource Hub

Give a sticker with no address its door

Scanning a sticker that was never put on a door, like a spare off the driver's clipboard, opens a search for the address it came from. Pick the door, confirm, and the bag goes to the scale with its pounds counted toward that building. When the driver recorded a bag at that door with no sticker, the new sticker takes that bag's place, so it's only counted once, and the search shows how many of those each door has waiting. Bags in the queue with no door now say to pick one before weighing. Before, an unused sticker couldn't be weighed at all.

    • ChangedResource Hub

The hub guide covers the new way of working

Signing in with the hub code, putting a spare sticker on a bag the driver picked up with no sticker, and recording what was in a contaminated bag with a photo. The assistant answers from the same guide, so it no longer talks about minor, major and severe levels.

    • ChangedResidents

Contamination messages say what was found, after a few bags

The message names what the hub found in your bag, like food or plastic bags. It starts once your door has had a few contaminated bags, instead of on the first one.

    • ChangedAdmin

Choose which contaminated bag a resident first hears about

Settings has a number where the grade picker was, counted per door over the same window as repeat contamination and starting at 3. The contamination report lists what was found at each door.

    • ChangedAdmin

A single sticker sheet opens at 4×6

A sheet printed from Bags opens on the 4×6 layout, the same as stickers without an address. The small label size is still one click away.

    • AddedResource Hub

Sign in to the hub with a code and your name

Someone working a shift can scan the QR on the hub's sign, or tap "Use the hub code" on the sign-in page, type the hub code and their first and last name, and start. No email, password or invite, and every bag they record carries their name.

    • AddedAdmin

A walk-in code for each hub

Hubs & zones shows each hub's code, a printable sign with its QR, and buttons to replace the code or turn it off. Replacing it signs out everyone who came in on the old one.

  15. A door is one stop, however many bags it sets out

On the first full Waggoner Park run the truck read 127 stops while the route list read 95 picked up, for the same 95 doors, because every extra bag scanned at a door saved a stop of its own. Another bag now joins the door's stop, and every count of the day counts each door once.

    • ChangedDrivers

Another bag at the same door joins that stop

Scanning another bag at a door you already picked up from today adds it to that stop, and the screen tells you so, instead of warning you and saving a new one. If that stop was already dropped off, or another driver recorded the door, it is still a stop of its own.

    • AddedDrivers

Your route screen says how the day is going

Once a stop is recorded, the top of the route screen shows how many stops were picked up and how many bags came off them, for everyone on the building, before anything is dropped off.

    • FixedDrivers

On the truck counts doors, not saves

The truck card, the drop-off screen and your account page counted every save, so a door with three bags could read as three stops. They now count each door once. Every bag still counts.

    • AddedAdmin

Today's collection on the dashboard and on Operations

Stops picked up, bags, how many bags had no sticker, and how many are still on a truck, across every driver and live from the moment a stop is recorded. Runs count each door once in the same way.

    • ChangedAdmin

Field stickers are now "Generate stickers without address"

The button on Sticker sheets was called "Cut field stickers", which did not say what it made. It now says it generates stickers with no address, and tells you how many, for drivers to put on bags that were set out without a QR code. The count, the status badge and the print page use the same name, where they used to say field stock.

    • FixedAdmin

The buttons on Sticker sheets line up

"Generate new sheet" sat lower than "Generate stickers without address" and was a different size. Both buttons and the sheet count now sit on one line at the same height, in the same style as the rest of the console.

  16. Drivers are assigned to the routes they run

Until now any driver could open the commercial compost route and record a pickup at any site on it. A driver is now assigned to the service lines they actually run, and the compost route only appears for the drivers who run it.

    • AddedAdmin

Assign a driver to trash, recycling or compost

Users now has a Service lines column for drivers, and the invite form asks the same question, so a new driver arrives already assigned. A driver with no service lines can still sign in and see their own day; they just cannot open a route they were never given.

    • ChangedDrivers

The Compost tab only shows for compost drivers

The tab, the site list and the banner on your route screen appear only if compost is one of your service lines. Opening a compost site by link without it sends you back to your own day.

    • FixedPlatform

Recording a compost pickup checks the assignment, not just the role

Bin pickups, weighed pickups, cart checks and compost runs were accepted from any driver account. They now require the compost assignment, so a stop cannot be recorded against a route that is not yours.

  17. Email actually sends now

Every email the app has written since launch — welcomes, invites, join-request replies — was being handed to a queue nobody was watching, and none of them ever left the building. Email now goes straight out through Twilio, on the same account the texts use, and each one is recorded with what really happened to it rather than a permanent "queued". Hubs and zones also stopped being two lists filed on the same page.

    • FixedPlatform

Email is sent instead of queued

Emails were written to a Firestore collection for an extension that was never installed, so 39 of them sat there unsent. They now post directly to Twilio from hello@myrecycleroute.com.

    • ChangedAdmin

The message log tells the truth about email

An email row now records sent, failed or skipped with the reason, the way a text always has. Messages from before this change are still shown, and are marked as never sent rather than pending.

    • FixedAdmin

Sending an invite email reports when it fails

The invite screen used to report success whether or not the email went anywhere. It now says so when the send is refused.

    • ChangedAdmin

Hubs and zones read as one screen

Properties & sites › Hubs & zones used to be two lists side by side, each with its own open form, which made a hub and the territory feeding it look like two unrelated things. Every hub is now a card with its own zones inside it, showing the collection week at a glance and the ZIP codes each one covers. Adding and editing happen in a dialog, and a zone whose hub has gone missing is called out instead of sitting quietly in a list.

  18. Weigh the bag now, open it later

The Resource Hub weighs bags in the morning without opening them and sorts them at the table hours later, which is the only moment anyone knows whether a bag was contaminated. A recorded bag can now be graded on that second pass, with a photo and a note for our own records. Doors that were never claimed are no longer a dead end either: whatever was found on them is handed over the day somebody signs up, and a door that keeps contaminating now raises its hand to the office instead of only losing score quietly.

    • AddedResource Hub

Grade a bag you have already recorded

Open any bag from Today and there is now a grade you can set on it. The weight stays exactly as it was taken — this asks the one question a second pass actually answers, which is what was inside. That is the real shift: two hundred bags go on the scale unopened in the morning, and the sort table is hours later.

    • ChangedResource Hub

Scanning a bag that was already weighed opens it

Scanning a sticker used to say “already weighed, set it aside” and stop there. It now opens that bag’s record — the weight, who took it, and the grade — so the sort table can scan a bag it has just opened and grade it on the spot. Finding it by eye on Today still works; it is no longer the only way in.

    • AddedResource Hub

Write down what was in it, and take a picture

A contaminated bag now takes a note and a photo, both optional, on the scale or at the sort table. Both are for our records — they sit on the bag forever and on the office’s contamination list, which is what somebody reads before deciding to knock on a door. Neither is sent to the resident: they get the office’s standard message for the grade, and nobody is sent a picture of their own rubbish.

    • AddedResidents

What your door has been putting out, when you join

Stickers go on doors before anyone signs up, so bags are often collected and graded with nobody to tell. If your door has a record of contaminated bags, you now hear about it once when you claim it — written about the door rather than about you, because whoever set those bags out may have moved away.

    • AddedAdmin

      Repeat contamination raises its hand

A door that keeps contaminating now emails the office at three bags, again at five, and again at ten, each once. Reports › Contamination lists every flagged door with what was found, who lives there and what has been sent to them. Unclaimed doors are on that list on purpose: nothing automatic can reach them, so a person at the door is the only channel there is.

    • ChangedResidents

One message per grade, written by the office

The text you get about a contaminated bag is the wording set under Settings and nothing else — the same message every door on that grade gets, written and read over once before it is saved. What the worker at the sort table typed and photographed is not in it, and never goes out over our name unread.

    • AddedAdmin

The admin guide covers the new screens

The console guide now documents Reports › Contamination, what each of the three thresholds means and who gets the email, and the four wording blocks under Settings — including why the segment counter under a message preview is worth watching. The in-app assistant reads the guides, so it can answer these too.

    • ChangedAdmin

The clean-bag thank-you is editable too

The “weighed in, thanks for keeping it out of the landfill” text used to be fixed in the code. It sits under Settings now, next to the contamination wording, so the encouraging message and the corrective one can be written in the same voice.

  19. Finding a door on a 632-door route

The driver’s route screen keeps a search box and a scan button pinned to the top of the day’s list, so a door is something you type or scan rather than something you scroll to, and a run can be closed out in one tap instead of six hundred — once every driver on the building has said they are done. In the console, collection routes now come from the schedule itself and name every driver assigned to a building. At the Resource Hub, a bag can now be checked for contamination without going on a scale, a bag graded contaminated tells the resident what to leave out next time, and a new Today tab keeps every bag that has been through intake — so a cleared queue no longer looks like a morning that never happened.

    • AddedResource Hub

A Today tab: every bag you have recorded, and the way back to one

The queue only ever shows bags still waiting on a scale, so clearing it left you looking at an empty screen with nothing to show for the morning. Today is where a recorded bag goes: how many bags and how many pounds have been through intake, then every one of them newest first, with its code, its door, what it weighed, whether it was clean, and who did it. Tap any bag to see exactly what was written down for it — which is also how you find a bag again later in the week, to open it at the sort table. The queue screen now says how many are done, so a clear queue reads as a finished morning rather than a missing one.

    • FixedResource Hub

Your day no longer resets at 8pm

The bags and pounds on your account page counted from midnight where the servers are rather than midnight in Columbus, so an evening shift watched its own totals go back to zero at 8pm. They now turn over at local midnight, like everything else.

    • AddedResidents

Find out what did not belong in your bag, the day it is opened

When the Resource Hub opens a bag and finds something that cannot be recycled, whoever is registered to that door now hears about it automatically — a short text naming the four things that cause it most often and a link to the guide. It replaces the usual “weighed in” message rather than arriving on top of it, so a bag is still one message. Nothing is charged and nothing is refused: the pickup happened, and the point of the text is that the next bag is a clean one.

    • AddedAdmin

      Write the contamination alert yourself

Settings has a Contamination alerts section: turn it off, choose how bad a bag has to be before anyone is told, and edit the wording. The message can drop in the resident’s name, their door, their building and a link to the recycling guide, and a preview shows the text exactly as it will arrive, with how many texts it costs to send. Curly quotes and long dashes pasted in from a document are converted on save, because one of them would triple the price of every send.

    • AddedResource Hub

Check a bag for contamination without weighing it

A third way to record a bag at intake, beside weighing it whole and sorting it by material: open it, call it clean or contaminated, sort the contents into the drums, submit. No scale, nothing to type. It is for the shift where the drums carry the weight rather than the bags. The trade is on the screen while you use it — a bag recorded this way puts no pounds on its building’s diversion report, because none were ever measured. The resident’s Community Recovery Score still moves: up for setting the bag out, down for what did not belong in it.

    • AddedDrivers

Say you’re done with a building, and see who else still is

Open your route and you are on today’s crew for every building on it — no check-in, nothing to set up. An “I’m done with pickups here” button sits in the bar pinned to the top of the day’s list, so finishing a building doesn’t mean scrolling past six hundred addresses first. It shows who else is on the building and whether they have finished. Tapped it too early? “Still working” puts you back on.

    • AddedDrivers

Close out a building’s empty doors in one tap, once everyone is off it

Front-door collection is opt-in week to week, so most of a large building finishes the day with nothing set out — and marking those one at a time meant hundreds of taps at the end of a run. Once every driver who turned up today has marked themselves done, one button records the rest as nothing out. It shows the count before it writes, and it never touches a door anyone already recorded, so a house you picked up from this morning stays picked up. Until everyone is done the button does not appear, because a sweep run early would mark doors another driver is still standing at. Somebody who never opened the app that day doesn’t hold it up.

    • AddedAdmin

Name the drivers expected at a building

A building’s page now has a “Drivers on this building” picker. It is optional and it changes nothing about who sees the building or who can close it out — the crew assembles itself from whoever opens their route that day. What it adds is a name to expect: a driver on the list who hasn’t turned up shows on the route screen as “not out today”, so you can see the gap. It never blocks anything, so a day off can’t leave a building stuck.

    • AddedDrivers

Search and scan stay on screen while you scroll the day

A search box and a Scan button sit pinned above today’s stops. Type any part of an address — the house number, the street, or both — or a resident’s name, and the list narrows to the doors that match. At a building with hundreds of doors, finding the one you are standing at no longer means scrolling past the rest.

    • AddedDrivers

Today’s list splits into Still to do and Recorded

Two tabs above the day’s stops. Still to do is the doors left; Recorded is the ones already visited, each showing what was reported there — picked up, nothing out, or skipped. At the end of a run it is one tap to see which addresses got missed, instead of reading down six hundred rows.

    • ChangedDrivers

Searching an address tells you which tab it is in

Type a door that has already been collected and the counts on the tabs say so, with a button straight to it. Before, a finished door could look like it was not on today’s list at all.

    • ChangedDrivers

The record button is pinned to the bottom of the stop screen

Recording a stop no longer means scrolling to the end of the form to find the button. It sits at the bottom of the screen the whole time, so it is always the obvious last thing to press.

    • AddedDrivers

“Done, scan next bag” goes straight back to the scanner

On a bag route, a second button under the record button saves the stop and opens the scanner for the next door, instead of going back to the day’s list first. Going door to door is now scan, record, scan.

    • ChangedDrivers

A shorter header on every driver screen

Screen titles are one line instead of two and sit tighter to the top, so more of the day’s list fits on a phone.

    • FixedDrivers

The Account tab opens instead of erroring

The third tab at the bottom of the driver app pointed at a screen that had never been built, so tapping it showed a page-not-found error. It now opens the driver’s own account: who is signed in on this phone, what they have recorded today, anything still on the truck undelivered, and Sign out.

    • ChangedAdmin

Routes → Collection routes shows the real schedule, and every driver on it

The screen used to list only routes somebody had built by hand, one driver per row — so Waggoner Park showed a single name while six drivers were working it. It now lists every building’s collection day straight from its service schedule, with the next pickup, the number of doors, and all the drivers assigned to that zone. A building appears the moment it is enrolled; nobody has to build anything first.

    • FixedDrivers

The route and scan screens load without re-reading the whole building

Both screens rebuilt the full door list from scratch every time they opened — at a six-hundred-door building that is most of a database read per door, twice per stop, and an hour of a real run was running up a hundred thousand of them. The door list is now held between screens and refreshed when a door actually changes, so the screens open faster and the run costs a fraction of what it did. What the day’s list says about progress is still read fresh every time, so two drivers on one building still see each other’s work immediately.

  20. A bag with no sticker on it is still a pickup

Drivers can carry spare stickers, or find a door by typing its address, and the Resource Hub can weigh a pile of bags on one reading. A bag set out without a sticker now reaches its building’s report instead of falling out of the count. Two drivers can now run the same building and see each other’s progress.

    • ChangedDrivers

Two drivers on one building share the same list

A door another driver has already collected shows as done on your list, with their name on it. Before this, everyone saw every door as still to do, so the only way to split a street was to agree it out loud.

    • AddedDrivers

A warning when a stop has already been recorded today

Open a door someone got to first and the stop screen says who recorded it and when. It is a heads-up, not a block — a second bag on the step is still worth recording.

    • AddedAdmin

A record of every message the app has sent, text or email

Settings → Notifications lists each message, who it went to, when, and whether it was actually sent or only written down, so a resident asking “I never got a reminder” can be answered from the console instead of the database. Emails are on it too, and it says plainly when a queued email was never picked up and sent.

    • AddedAdmin

      Notification activity for one building

Every property now has a Notifications page listing what went out to that building and, resident by resident, the last text and the last email each of them got. It is the fastest way to see somebody who was emailed but never texted, somebody who has heard nothing at all, and somebody we have no phone number or address for.

    • AddedAdmin

Phone numbers show on the people list

People → Users now has a phone column, tap-to-call on a phone. The number was already collected when someone joins and already in the CSV export — it just was not on screen.

    • AddedDrivers

Spare stickers for bags that went out without one

The office can print a roll of stickers that belong to no door. Put one on a bag, scan it at the door, and it becomes that door’s bag — so the Resource Hub can weigh it onto the right building.

    • AddedDrivers

Find a door by typing its address

A “No sticker on the bag” button on the scan screen opens a search over every door on your route. Start typing the house number or the street and pick it off the list.

    • ChangedDrivers

The scan screen says up front that you can find a door instead

The button on your home screen now reads “Scan bag or enter address”, and “No sticker on the bag” sits at the top of the scan screen rather than under the camera — so a bare bag never means scrolling past a camera you cannot use.

    • FixedDrivers

A door can be recorded without a sticker to scan

Collecting used to need at least one scanned sticker, so a bare bag left you skipping the door. You can now count the bags that had no sticker instead, and the door they came from is recorded with them.

    • AddedResource Hub

Weigh a batch of bags on one reading

A new batch scale sits beside the per-bag one. Add every bag on the scale, enter the single reading, and it is split evenly between them. Bags weighed one at a time are still the more exact record, so that stays the default.

    • AddedResource Hub

Bags that arrived without a sticker can be weighed

Nothing was printed for them, so they cannot be scanned. They now appear on the batch screen grouped by the door the driver recorded, and go on the scale from there.

    • ChangedProperty managers

Your report says how much of the total was weighed in a batch

When bags are weighed several at a time, the batch weight is measured but the split between bags is even. Any part of your total that came from a split is now stated under the figures rather than left unsaid.

    • ChangedResidents

Forgetting the sticker no longer counts against you

A door that set out bags without stickers is recorded as having set out, and those pounds now reach your building. It used to be the driver’s only honest option to mark the door as nothing out, which cost you participation you had earned.

    • ChangedAdmin

The role guides cover everything that shipped this week

Collection reminders, the message log, field stickers, bags set out without one, and the three ways the Resource Hub can weigh a bag are all written up now, so the in-app assistant answers from the guides instead of guessing. The hub guide had been telling workers not to weigh a bag whole, which has been the default since September 2.

    • AddedProperty managers

The resident roster is written up in your guide

Inviting a resident, working the not-signed-up list, the warning about people who joined but are not on a door, and what moving somebody between doors does and does not change. The guide had only ever described the report.

    • AddedCustomer service

A guide for the customer service rep

What the assistant on your screen can look up about a real address, what it deliberately cannot see about a person, what the four collection outcomes mean on a call, and which questions end with an admin rather than with you. It is linked under the assistant and the assistant can answer from it.

    • AddedAdmin

Cut and print field stickers from the Bags screen

Choose how many sheets, print them on either label size, and the run is recorded so a closed tab doesn’t lose your place. Field stock is listed separately from sheets waiting to go on a door.

  21. A free sheet of stickers every month

Your free sheet is no longer a one-off. Every resident gets one free sheet of 10 a month, whenever they run low, and it comes when you ask for it.

    • ChangedResidents

One free sheet of stickers every month

Yesterday the free sheet was a single refill and every sheet after it was a purchase. It is now monthly: run low, ask, and this month’s sheet of 10 is on us. Need more than 10 in the same month and the next sheet is one you buy. Leftovers do not cost you anything — finishing September with two stickers still leaves October’s free sheet waiting for you.

    • ChangedResidents

Your free sheet comes when you ask for it

We no longer send one out on your behalf. The low-sticker text now carries a link, and tapping it is what puts the sheet on the truck. If you do not need more stickers, nothing arrives and nothing is charged.

    • FixedResidents

Clearer wording on the stickers screen

When you are not running low, the button now says you are buying a sheet rather than ordering one, because the free sheet is for when you actually need it. Nobody should reach a checkout page they were not expecting.

    • ChangedPlatform

Sticker texts are cheaper to send

The alerts were written with a dash character that quietly forced every message into a format carrying 70 characters per text instead of 160, so a single message was billed as three. The wording now sticks to the plain character set.

  22. Running out of stickers, and what happens next

Residents get told when their sheet is running low. The first replacement is free; after that it is a purchase, delivered on the next collection day.

    • AddedResidents

A heads-up before you run out of stickers

On the evening of a collection day, if you are down to your last few stickers we let you know. The first time it happens your next sheet of 10 is on us and your driver brings it round — nothing for you to do.

    • AddedResidents

      Order a sheet of stickers

Stickers is now a tab of its own: how many you have left, and a button to get more. After your free refill has been delivered, a sheet is something you buy, and it arrives with your next collection like the free one did. Nothing is charged until you finish checkout, and you can back out at any point.

    • AddedAdmin

      Low-sticker alerts are configurable

Settings decides how few stickers counts as low and what time of day we check. The reason it is an evening check is that a door’s count only changes when a driver collects from it.

    • AddedDrivers

      Delivering a sheet is automatic

Nothing extra to tap. Recording a stop at a door that was owed a sheet marks it delivered, because the sheet is on the truck and you are at the door.

  23. Telling people the truck is coming

Collection reminders the evening before and the morning of, with the times and the wording set from the admin console. Off until the text and email channels are live.

    • AddedResidents

      A reminder before collection day

A text the evening before and again on the morning itself, saying which service is coming and the window it runs in. It goes to the number on your account, or your email if we do not have one. Joining your building is what turns it on — we have no way to reach a door nobody has claimed.

    • AddedAdmin

Reminder times are yours to set

Settings now has a Resident reminders section: turn each reminder on or off, pick the hour it goes out, set the collection window it quotes, and read the exact message before you save it. The reminder day comes from each property’s own service days, so changing a building’s schedule changes its reminders with it.

    • AddedPlatform

      Reminders cannot go out twice

Each building’s reminder is claimed before it sends, so a retry or an overlapping run skips instead of texting six hundred doors a second time. A run that misses its hour catches up within two, and stops there rather than telling someone to set bags out for a truck that has already been.

  24. Weigh the bag, or sort it

Hub intake used to insist on a weight for every material before it would record anything. Now the whole bag can go on the scale as one number, which is what a morning of six hundred of them actually needs.

    • AddedResource Hub

Weigh the whole bag in one number

Scan it, put it on the scale, mark contamination, next bag. It is the default now. Sorting on the table and weighing each material is still there, one tap away, for when the breakdown is worth the time.

    • ChangedProperty managers

Pounds are the same either way

A bag weighed whole counts on your diversion report exactly as one that was sorted — same pounds, same contamination grade, same destination. The only thing it does not add is the by-material breakdown, since nobody opened it.

    • FixedAdmin

Weight totals no longer miss material

The zone table, the hub worker’s daily total and the monthly hub report were each rebuilding weight by adding up materials. Anything without a material line — a bag weighed whole, or a commodity added after launch such as glass — was quietly counted as nothing. They now read the recorded weight, and the monthly report shows unsorted pounds on their own line.

  25. Somebody to answer the phone

A customer service rep is now a role of its own, with an assistant that answers the question a caller is actually asking and hands the rep a line to read back.

    • AddedCustomer service

Customer service rep is a role

Invite one from the admin console like any other member of staff. They sign in to a screen of their own, built around answering a call rather than running the program.

    • AddedCustomer service

The assistant can look up a real address

Ask about a building or a business and it reads that site’s actual collection record — the dates, whether material was collected, not set out or skipped and why, the weight, and where it went. It covers the commercial food-waste sites as well as residential buildings, and for a building you can narrow it to one unit. If nothing was collected in the window it looked at, it says when the last collection actually was instead of reporting nothing.

    • AddedCustomer service

The assistant cannot see who anyone is

Its lookups return units and what happened at them, never a name, email or phone number, so a resident’s details cannot end up in an answer. Asked to identify someone, it says an admin has to do that.

    • AddedCustomer service

An assistant that answers the caller, not the console

Type what a resident or property manager is asking and it answers from the role guides, then gives you a sentence to read back in plain language. When the answer involves a refund, a return trip or anything the guides do not settle, it says so and tells you to pass it to an admin instead of guessing.

    • AddedCustomer service

The rep can look things up, and only look

The role reads residents, properties and collection records so a question about a specific address can be answered from what actually happened. It cannot edit anything: a change still goes to an admin.

    • ChangedAdmin

      A customer service hat

Answer a customer is now one of the hats on the operations screen, so you can see the rep’s screen as they see it without a second account.

  26. This page, and photos that actually open

A place to read what changed, and a fix to the one thing that was silently going nowhere: a driver can photograph a set-out at the door, and that photo was being filed where only a server could reach it.

    • AddedProperty managers

      A changelog

Everything that changes in the app, newest first, written for whoever it affects. Linked from the footer next to the role guides.

    • FixedAdmin

Stop photos open from the route record

Photos are now saved with a permanent link instead of an internal storage address, so clicking one on a route detail page shows the photo. The link never expires, which matters because a diversion report can be read months after the pickup it describes.

    • ChangedPlatform

Photo storage is off until the storage account is switched on

The app still discards photos by default. This change makes the real path correct so that turning it on is a settings change and nothing else.

  27. Homepage says what the program is

One pass over the landing page hero.

    • ChangedResidents

Hero copy trimmed to the offer

Removed a leftover line describing a payout model this program does not run. Residents get a recovery score and a report, and the page now says only that.

  28. Run the whole operation from one screen

A route day was visible in six places and controllable from none of them. Operations puts the day and the way into it on one page, built for a phone because that is where it gets read.

    • AddedAdmin

Hats: work the route, the hub, or a building from your own login

Pick a hat and the app hands you that role’s screens, with a bar across the top saying which one you have on. It replaces keeping a second and third account and remembering which is signed in on which phone.

    • AddedAdmin

Runs: what happened on any route day

One card per driver per day — doors visited, pounds collected, contamination, and where the load went. Assembled from the stops and deliveries already on record, so there is no run to start, close, or forget.

    • AddedAdmin

      Operations, refreshing on its own

Today’s runs and the hat picker on one page, updating while it sits open on a phone in the truck.

    • ChangedProperty managers

A manager with no building attached is told so

The portal used to fail blankly for an invited manager whose building had not been linked yet. It now explains what is missing and who fixes it.

    • AddedPlatform

Run totals are checked against the raw records

A verification script recomputes a day from its stops and deliveries and compares it to what the screen reports, so a run card cannot quietly disagree with the records under it.

  29. Print a whole building, and get in and out faster

Waggoner Park is 632 doors and 6,320 stickers. Everything sized for eighteen units had to grow, and the app had to stop making people wait on blank screens while it did.

    • AddedAdmin

One PDF for a building’s entire sticker run

Print pages came fifty doors at a time — thirteen separate trips to the print dialog for one property, with nothing but memory keeping your place. A building now downloads as a single PDF in walking-route order.

    • ChangedAdmin

The PDF is built in your browser, with a real progress count

A full building is 8 to 11 megabytes, which is past what the server may send in one response. The browser now receives the codes — about 120 kilobytes — and draws the pages itself, so the door being drawn is the number you see moving.

    • AddedResource Hub

Scan a bag and land on its weigh screen

Intake reads a Bluetooth scanner from anywhere on the page and opens the scanned bag directly. The queue is grouped by where material came from instead of being one long list.

    • ChangedPlatform

Screens show their shape while they load

Admin, hub, driver, program, property, and resident screens now render an outline immediately rather than a white page. Paired with new database indexes and a lighter sign-in check on every request.

    • AddedAdmin

Queue counts on the navigation itself

Join requests, the cleaning queue, and anything else waiting show their count in the sidebar, so a queue cannot go quiet behind a collapsed section.

    • ChangedAdmin

The assistant knows the guides properly

Rebuilt on a fuller reading of the eight role guides, and reachable from every admin screen instead of one page.

    • ChangedResidents

My Recycle Route’s logo and icons throughout

The brand mark, app icon, and rebuilt public site — including the service-area check and the request-a-proposal form.
